Best Western Plus University Inn

August 2025 Checking in was a long, annoying process but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. Room was nice and clean. Safe parking lot. Wonderful front desk workers.

We stay here every time we travel from dallas to destin. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I believe Cheryl is who checked us in this last time, and she was very patient as we tried to figure out our gift card. Breakfast is good and well kept. It's in a quiet area with close proximity to restaurants and shops

Great price, great location. Wasn't the one who booked but stayed with my cousin who did. Happy to sa she picked a great hotel! The lady who checked us in and was there thru the night was the sweetest, lady with the cutest southern accent lol. I think her name was Mel or Melanie? Or something else with a M like that. We'd book again just to talk to her! ( If we ever come back to the south anyway! Thanks for the comfy night sleep!

The hotel was nice. Your typical BW. Good breakfast, nice staff ,rooms were clean but I did see some really big cockroaches in my my room. I saw them outside too . Other than that it was good

I commend the welcoming and helpful staff, cleanliness of the room, and great service in the morning breakfast bar. I recently had knee replacement surgery and asked for a handicap accessible room. The room was large and spacious with a roll-in shower. My caution to travelers is that there were no grab-bars around the commode. Other than that the room was great.

It's not a bad place to stay but it falls short of good. Just about anything I could think of about my stay there for 4 days was just short of good. Just think of everything that you would think of that would make you stay an experience at a hotel Nice and then think of what would one notch below that and that is how I would rate this hotel in every category. Oddly the breakfast person thinks that making the eggs look like tacos and then putting cheese wiz in the middle is somehow good. The breakfast could be hot yet it is just lukewarm. One of the rooms we stayed in had blue LED bulbs inside and it looked like we were on an alien planet. Then there's the pool so you go down for a little bit of sun and there's just one lounger and there's no umbrella so it's hot as Hades. The employees are sort of nice but they're not terribly friendly. I always said hi to them but they would rarely respond. The only people who were super nice and went out of their way were the housekeeping team they were just so kind and accommodating. I had mixed feelings about my stay at this property.

I still have yet to try the hot breakfast they offer. I haven't because I usually have to leave to go to the business where I pickup or dropoff before the breakfast part opens. Clean and nice rooms. Watch what you book online compared to what they actually give you. My first time there I was so tired when I got in. I had booked a king suite and they tried giving me a room with two beds in it and it wasn't a suite. So now I check to make sure I'm getting what I asked for before I go up. Otherwise the staff is friendly and helpful. And not too far from the interstate. It has a variety of restaurants around and very ample parking.

I loved how clean and updated the room was. The complimentary breakfast was hot and ready. There was a microwave available which was a plus. I like my coffee steamy. The location was okay, just didn't see much in the way of restaurants. I would stay here again
